Evidence-based training · Australian workplaces
Most bias training stops working the moment the session ends.
Ours is built on the bias habit-breaking model — the only approach shown in randomised trials to keep working. Your people already care about fairness. What's missing is a set of practical tools to catch bias in the moment and do something different.
01 — The evidence
Most unconscious bias training fails for a predictable reason: it tells people what's wrong with them and sends them back to work. Awareness without strategies just produces guilt.
Our program is built on the bias habit-breaking model developed by psychologists Patricia Devine and William Cox at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. It treats bias like any other habit: learned, automatic, and breakable with deliberate practice.
8 wks
Effects still measurable 8 weeks after training in the first randomised controlled trial of its kind. A 2019 meta-analysis of 492 studies found no other approach lasting beyond a single day.
32→47%
Women among new faculty hires rose from 32% to 47% in trained departments in a randomised trial across 92 university departments. Untrained departments didn't move.
2–3 yrs
Participants were still acting on the training years later — speaking up about bias in situations the training never covered.
We've adapted this model for Australian workplaces, public services and community contexts. It shapes everything we deliver, from the 90-minute intro to the full-day program.
02 — Start here
See how bias actually works, and what it takes to interrupt it.
Capped at 30 people, minimum 10 — full refund or free transfer if minimums aren't met.

03 — For your organisation
The complete workshop is a full-day, in-person session for up to 24 people. It's experiential by design: participants catch their own bias in action, then practise the strategies to interrupt it.
Participants leave able to
Recognise how bias shows up in hiring, promotion and everyday decisions
Use practical, research-backed strategies to interrupt biased thinking before it becomes a biased decision
Talk about bias with colleagues without defensiveness or blame
Keep the practice going after the workshop ends, because habits don't break in a day
Every program is tailored to your context. That starts with a conversation.
"Our people are tired of DEI training."
Fair. Most of it lectures people about what's wrong with them, and everyone walks out defensive. This program starts differently. Bias is a habit of mind, the kind everyone forms without choosing to, and the work is practical: notice the habit, see where it came from, replace it. Nobody is shamed, quizzed in front of colleagues, or told what to think. In a published study of the model, participants from the communities bias affects most described the training as respectful and practical, and all of them applied it.
